Welcome to the A/PASS website!

I am absolutely honored to be working with the API students at UNC. In some ways I feel I have come full circle with my return to the campus and to this program.

I am a native of Colorado and have a background influenced by the Japanese community in Denver. Personally, I am excited to reconnect with some of my history; professionally, I am excited to work with college students who are so committed to their heritages.

I began my career at UNC as a graduate student in Professional Psychology, have served in several different administrative positions on campus and have also worked as a K-12 counselor in the Colorado education system. I hope the breadth of my experiences can strengthen an A/PASS program that has been rich in cultural programming and can help to bring more API students to the UNC campus.

I encourage anyone who is interested in the Asian and Pacific Islander cultures to become involved in the Center. Our doors are always open and we welcome new ideas, volunteers, and people who are looking to broaden their connections at UNC.
