Obon Dance Festival Part II
Due to popular demand, we have decided to hold another Obon Dance Festival! Obon Dance is a traditionally Japanese religious festival that has evolved into a modern celebration similar to the Mexican "Dia de los meurtos", honoring those who have passed on. This event is now celebrated in Japanese cultures throughout the entire world and is interpreted differently among its communities. Come by, learn a few dances, eat some good food, have fun!
Lunar New Year Festival, Year of the Wood Horse
Start of the new year with a celebration! Please join us on February 6th, 2014 for a FREE Lunar New Year Carnival from 3:30-5:30pm! Free activities will be provided and fundraising items will be available for purchase. Great for kids!
A Lunar New Year Banquet will also be provided at great prices (dinner also includes performances), Students: $7.00, General Admission: $16.00, Kids under 5: Free with ticket. Get them at (970)351-4TIX or visit the UC Ticket Office 2nd floor information desk. Hurry and get them quick before they sell out!

Alana Street Bash
September 4, 2013 3:00pm-5:00pm @ the corner of 20th & 10th Ave. (Marcus Garvey Center). Come by and learn more about our cultural centers! The Asian/Pacific American Student Services, Native American Student Services, Marcus Garvey Cultural Center for Blacks, Africans, and African Americans, as well as the Cesar Chaves Cultural Center for Latin Americans will have representatives to tell you more about what we do here on campus. BBQ will be provided as well as refreshments, treats, entertainment, and even prizes! You don't want to miss out!
Welcome Asians/Pacific Americans Open House
September 18, 2013 6:00pm-8:00pm The Asian/Pacific American Student Services cordially invites any UNC student who identifies as Asian, or is of Asian descent to come by the Kohl House. We would like to reach out and meet with all of you. Come meet fellow Asians and Pacific Americans. Have some food and refreshments, learn about what A/PASS can offer you in both academics as well as entertainment.
UNC Community Fest
September 28, 2013 10:00am-1:00pm This event takes place outside of the Michener Library on the West side. Included are demonstrations as well as interactive educational learning activities provided by various organizations throughout the UNC campus. Fun for all ages! Stop by, learn, and have fun! Various ood and refreshments will be available for purchase.
Taste of A/PASS
The Annual Taste of A/PASS is held during the first or second month of fall semester to introduce ourselves to the University and Greeley community. Taste of A/PASS is a free buffet-style dinner featuring a variety of Asian and Pacific Islander dishes to demonstrate the uniqueness of the different cultures within these populations. This year Taste of A/Pass will be held on October 2 and October 3, 2013 from 4:30 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. @ Kohl House. Each day will feature different food from specific cultures of Asia. What better way to learn something new about a culture than through the stomach? Come by and eat some culture!

Join Native American Student Services and Asian/Pacific American Student Services for an evening that gives new and returning students an opportunity to kick back and socialize with fellow students and friends while enjoying free food, fun, music, games and movies. Meet new people, make new friends, have a fun time!
The Asian/Pacific American Student Services supports the recruitment for all students of Asian and Pacific Islander Descent, and all students from the state of Hawaii. We actively contact potential students to answer any questions they may have regarding UNC. We also send a representative of the University of Northern Colorado to over 50 high schools within the state of Hawaii.
