Our Chapter
Scholarships
Scholarship is a priority in Alpha Phi. Currently, Alpha Phi's grade point average is 3.0. Alpha Phi has many programs to ensure our member’s scholastic efforts remain their top priority.
Study Tables
Study tables are a great way to get our Sisters involved with academics. Our chapter meets twice a week for an hour. This is a great time to study, do homework and get help from Sisters. Although study tables are not required unless a sister is on academic probation, meaning she has a 2.0 GPA or lower, we advise Sisters to come!
Study Buddies
Study Buddies are a great way for new members to get to know other Sisters. A study buddy is someone who advises a younger member in the same area of study which they are majoring in . Study buddies stay in contact with their sister to see how classes are going and if they need help.
Scholarship Boards
In the Alpha Phi house, there are two scholarship boards that keep Sisters posted on academics. One board has times for study tables, study buddies, major/minor list, test files, and study tips. The second board contains scholarship forms Sisters can apply for. These boards are very helpful and keep our Sisters informed.
Test Files
Test files are where Sisters can get papers, tests, and other information they need to study for a class. The files contain information from all areas of study. Sisters who have previously had these classes have donated their work to the files so that others can study. This is another great way for our Sisters to study and achieve academic excellence.
Spring 2006 Scholarship Banquet
At the beginning of the semester in January, we had our scholarship banquet for the spring 2006 academic semester honoring Sisters for the previous semester. Sisters received awards based on GPA, least missed classes, most A's, and Most Improved Alpha Phi. We were awarded highest newest member GPA at panhellenic.
