Additional Information:

Experience acquired through cooperative education or internships can prove valuable in obtaining professional positions.
At least one class in multicultural studies or one focusing on another face/ethnic group, plus a women’s studies or womanist class will prove beneficial.
Graduates should be prepared to work in any area of the country and at any size institution.
Presentation or attendance at national association meetings is desirable.
Training at the doctoral level is necessary to become employed as a university faculty member.
