Transfer Student steps
- Apply for admission while completing 13 post high school semester hours (20 quarter hours) of transferable credit. Earn at least a 2.4 GPA. Send an official transcript from all colleges attended to the UNC Office of Admissions, Carter Hall 3006, Campus Box 10, Greeley, CO 80639.
- Check your application status.
- Tour the campus and meet with faculty, staff and students.
- Check out Scholarships for residents & non-residents.
- Complete forms for federal and state financial aid (FAFSA) and scholarships (UNC Universal Scholarship Application).
- Submit the Certificate of Immunization Form - to the UNC Student Health Center prior to registration.
- If you need to update your Residency Status, you can submit this electronic form.
- Once admitted, activate your URSA account here.
- Choose between two options for Advising/Registration after being admitted to
UNC,
- Meet with an advisor from your academic program on your own. Phone numbers for academic departments. Students who are admitted as either Exploring or Exploring-Seeking Business, please call Academic Support and Advising at (970) 351-1391.
- Attend New Student Orientation/Registration. Refer to this website for dates, etc.
- After you have been accepted you may go online and complete the housing contract. To complete a contract, you must submit a $200 deposit to reserve your room. Deposits are refundable in full until April 30, 2010.
- After admission, a Transfer Evaluation will be completed automatically and results of how the credits are being applied to the UNC degree plan are mailed. The first evaluation assesses which credits are being applied to general education, elective and non-transferable categories. The second phase assesses how credits are applied to the major, minor and teacher education areas, if applicable. Please save all evaluations for future advising purposes.
- Transfer Course Appeals Process
Transfer students who wish to appeal how a Liberal Arts Core or elective course was taken can petition through the UNC Admissions Office, Carter Hall 3006 or call 1-888-700-4UNC.
