Admissions
APPLY TO UNC
Transferring to UNC is easy. You'll be continuing your studies instead of starting over.
Located in the Visitors Center, we are here to assist you. Simply call 970-351-2097 to set up an appointment or email admissions.help@unco.edu. Either way, you'll experience a great start to the transfer process.
Here’s what you’ll need to get started:
- 13 post high school semester hours of transferable credit with at least a 2.4 GPA.
Note: Twenty percent of transfer students can be admitted if their GPA falls below
the 2.4 requirement. All admission exceptions are handled on an individual basis.
- 12 or fewer semester hours of transferable credit results in admission based on high school credentials including cumulative GPA, class rank, ACT and/or SAT scores.
- Submit an application for admission, processing fee ($40 for 4-year transfers or
$20 for community college transfers) and official college transcripts from each college
attended to: UNC Office of Admissions, Carter Hall 3006, Campus Box 10, Greeley, CO
80639. Please allow 2-4 weeks for admission processing.
- Once an application is submitted, if you change your term of entry within one year of the original application date, no additional application is required.
- Up to 90 semester hours can be transferred into UNC.
- Non-transferable work includes grades below a C-, math below college algebra and any remedial, vocational or technical courses. In addition, no more than 90 semester hours total may be transferred from a combination of 2-year and 4-year schools.
