How to Apply
If you are currently in high school, a recent high school graduate or have a GED and you’re deciding which college to attend, you have come to the right place to learn more about the possibilities at the University of Northern Colorado. We want to help you navigate through the application process and make your UNC connection a meaningful one.
You’ll need the following items when you apply to UNC:
- $45 Nonrefundable Application Processing Fee, which can be paid online with a credit card. Fee is automatically waived for students who have an Admissions Index Score of 112 or higher. Fee waivers due to financial hardship are granted on a case-by-case basis with supporting documentation.
- Official High School Transcript needs to be sent to:

You’ll want to apply as soon as possible to be considered. The Office of Admissions reviews applications on a rolling basis, which means that you should receive an admissions decision about two to three weeks after submitting your application and all supporting credentials.
Fall Start
Your application and all supporting credentials for the fall term should be received by March 1 for priority consideration for admission, financial aid and scholarships. Applications will be considered on a space-available basis until August 1.
Spring Start
Your application and all supporting credentials for the spring term should be received by November 1 for priority consideration for admission, financial aid and scholarships. Applications will be considered on a space-available basis until December 1.
