Costs and Aid

The right education. The right value.

When compared to other major universities in Colorado, the University of Northern Colorado can give you more bang for your buck — which means you might not be paying off your student loans quite as long. In fact, more than 70 percent of our students enjoy some level of financial assistance through loans, grants, work-study and scholarships.

Here are just a few ways you can lower your costs:

  • Non-resident students of participating states with high academic achievement levels can save $20,000 in tuition costs over four years through the Western Undergraduate Exchange program.
  • Many students qualify for competitive scholarships based upon their academic performance in high school.
  • Your application for admission serves as your application for many admissions-based scholarships.
  • Submit the UNC Universal Scholarship Application, available in URSA from December to March 1, to be considered for other merit scholarships.
  • Take advantage of our residence halls, which offer a standard of living, at a great price, that no other university in Colorado can match.
