What makes Northern Colorado different
The size of the University of Northern Colorado is different. With about 11,000 students we are not too big or too small. We are a medium size campus, where you can always see a familiar face, but still meet someone new everyday. Located in Greeley, with a population of just under 100,000, it is a big enough town that still feels small.
What I love about Northern Colorado
The club sport teams are awesome. The late night hockey games at the Ice Haus are well attended, even though the puck doesn’t drop until 9:30. The Men’s and Women’s Rugby teams are also fun to watch
Favorite place on campus
Gunter Hall’s history is quite special. It used to be our gym on campus many years ago, but now has been converted to classrooms. It is great to walk down the hall and see all of the old sports history.
Favorite place in Greeley
Fat Albert’s is an Irish Pub, not too far from Campus. You have to try the Chocolate Peanut butter pie. I suggest starting with dessert.
Favorite restaurant in Greeley
This is a tough one for me, because I love to eat and I already mentioned Fat Albert’s. I would have to say, “Roma’s” All you can eat Spaghetti on Tuesday night for $4.00 and their Caroli’s are tough to beat. I am also a huge fan of Applebee’s.
What I recommend to do in Greeley
I love all of the parks with lakes. Take a nice walk around one of the lakes or just relax and try to catch a fish.
