Years at Northern Colorado:1
Hometown: St. Charles, IL
What makes Northern Colorado different: For the size of the student body, it seems to have a very personal feel. With a bit of effort, you should easily make friends and integrate into the university community. The university provides many academic and social options. One of your ongoing assignments is to build your own college experience!
What I love about Northern Colorado: You can sense the commitment of the faculty and staff. We all work at Northern Colorado for a reason . . . and it's not just to collect a paycheck. In the classroom, you will find faculty focused on providing you a great learning experience. Outside the classroom, participate in a variety of campus activities and events to complement your classroom experiences.
Favorite place on campus:Central Campus. The architecture and mature trees make this special part of campus.
Favorite place in Greeley: I'll say "places", as in Greeley's park system. I like to take advantage of Greeley's parks for walking, running, and bike rides.
Favorite restaurant in Greeley: Bubbas Barbeque. For any meal, Bubba's is a great choice for good food at reasonable prices.
What I recommend to do in Greeley: For a study break, get outside and be active. We have great weather in Greeley. Enjoy a bike ride on the Poudre River Trail . . .a walk around many of our local parks . . . frisbee golf .. . . participate in intramurals with your residence hall or form your own team. . .attend a UNC sporting event . . .get some friends together for a pick-up game of football . . .mini-golf a the Funplex. I would say there is no shortage of on and off campus activities.
