Student Billing Is Going Green!
The paper bills for tuition, fees and other charges that UNC students currently receive in the mail will be history after October 1, 2008, when e-Bill - the university’s electronic billing system - becomes the official method for producing student bills.
With e-Bill, students (and anyone they authorize such as parents or a spouse.) will be notified via e-mail when a new electronic bill is available online to view, pay or print.
To facilitate the transition to e-billing, the Bursar’s Office will use both printed bills and the new e-billing system from March 1 to October 1, 2008. After October 1, the e-billing system will be used and only e-mail notification about bills will be sent.

Top 10 Benefits of e-Bill:
- It saves 49 40-foot-tall, 6-inch-diameter trees each year.
- Parents or other authorized payers can receive e-mail notification when e-bills are available.
- It operates in conjunction with Ursa, so it’s secure and confidential.
