How to Join

Registration for Learning Communities is simple and easy, the way it should be! When you make a reservation for Orientation at https://apps.unco.edu/nso/, you will see that the major under which you have been accepted to UNC is listed. At this point you need to:

Verify that the major is correct. If it is correct, you will continue on to select your Orientation date. If your major is not correct, you need to call the UNC Admissions Office at 970-351-2881 and wait 24 hours for your new major to be changed in our system. Then when you log in after 24 hours, you will see the new major listed.
Once you’ve selected your Orientation date, based upon your major you will be offered one or more Learning Communities as options.
Rank your top 3 choices, with 1 being your most desired set of courses. If you only have one option available, select that option.
Click “submit” and you will be taken to a page to submit payment for Orientation.
Once you have remitted payment, you will be given a confirmation number. You are all set to come to Orientation and you are signed up for a Learning Community!
