UNC Police Residence Hall Liaison Program

As with all campus departments, the UNC Police strive to have a great relationship with UNC Housing and Residence Life. Because of the unique association between our two departments, we have established a Liaison Program. This program is designed to keep a good communication between each residence hall and the Police Department. To do this one officer is assigned to each residence hall, or group of residence halls, to act as the liaison between that residence hall and the Police Department. The liaison officer is there to provide safety and security programming to each residence hall, and to answer questions that staff or residents may have. Below is a list of which residence hall each liaison officer is assigned, and their e-mail address. You can contact the officer assigned to your hall if you have specific questions about safety or security, or if you have concerns or ideas.

The program is not designed to assign one officer to each residence hall to handle every call or problem there. If there is a need to call the police for an emergency or other issue, call the UNC Police Dispatch at 351-2245 (or call 911 in case of an emergency) and the on-duty officer will respond.
