Colorado Resident Freshman Scholarships

Students must be enrolled in 12 or more credits each semester. Students in off-campus cash-funded programs through the Office of Extended Studies are not eligible for institutional scholarships listed here unless noted otherwise. Students are eligible to receive only one of the following Colorado Resident Freshman Scholarships listed here. These scholarships are available to students entering UNC for the first time in Fall 2014 or later and pursuing a first bachelor's degree.

UNC Resident Trustees Scholarship

Colorado resident admitted to UNC and meet criteria by March 1. Scholarship Eligibility 3.8 and 29 ACT or 1280 SAT for consideration. Credentials verifying eligibility must be on file at UNC by March 1. Renewable with cumulative UNC GPA of 3.0 or above. Maximum of 8 semester of undergraduate eligibility. Amount: $6,000/year ($3,000 Fall/$3,000 Spring)

UNC Resident Presidential Scholarship

Colorado resident admitted to UNC and meet criteria by March 1. Scholarship Eligibility 3.6 GPA and 27 ACT or 1200 SAT for consideration. Credentials verifying eligibility must be on file at UNC by March 1. Renewable with cumulative UNC GPA of 2.75 or above. Maximum of 8 semesters of undergraduate eligibility. Amount: $3,000/year ($1,500 Fall/$1,500 Spring)

UNC Resident Provost Freshman Scholarship

Colorado resident admitted to UNC and meet criteria by March 1. Scholarship Eligibility 3.4 GPA and 24 ACT or 1080 SAT for consideration. Credentials verifying eligibility must be on file at UNC by March 1. Renewable with cumulative UNC GPA of 2.5 or above. Maximum of 8 semesters of undergraduate eligibility. Amount: $2,000/year ($1,000 Fall/$1,000 Spring)

UNC Greeley Promise Scholarship

Must graduate from a District 6 Greeley high School or Dayspring Academy; Colorado Resident; must be a new freshman admitted for upcoming fall semester following high school graduation; A $2,000 award will be offered; Renewable as long as student maintains Satisfactory Academic Progress. UNC First Generation Scholarship

New freshman; Colorado Resident: Neither parent has obtained a bachelor's degree; Competitive (limited funds available); Based on financial need; Must complete FAFSA; Must complete the UNC Universal Scholarship Application by March 1 deadline; Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress. Offered to students who transfers from a Community College and qualifies for one of the scholarships above. Must have been a member of Phi Theta Kappa at the Community College. Requires completion of the University of Northern Colorado Universal Scholarship Application before June 15 to be considered OR documentation of Phi Theta Kappa membership if admitted after the June 15 scholarship application deadline. Academic Achievement Scholarship

UNC Legacy Scholarship

Non-Resident/Non-Western Undergraduate Exchange States Freshman Scholarships

* Students who are residents of the western states (AK, AZ, CA, HI, ID, MT, NV, NM, ND, OR, SD, UT, WA, WY) receive a reduced tuition rate through the Western Undergraduate Exchange Program (WUE) in addition to the following scholarships listed below.

Western Undergraduate Exchange Program

UNC participates in the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) program. This allows students who are residents of 14 western states to attend UNC at a reduced tuition rate that is 150% of the in-state rate (calculated on total tuition prior to the COF stipend for in-state students.
