JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide supervision, customer service, security, and light maintenance at this Homeless Shelter for families. The House Manager works with families living at the shelter to provide support and enforcement of rules during non-business hours. Also serves as a liaison with the general public and visitors to the shelter. Experience/Education Requirements: Must have at least High School diploma. Good communication skills (written and oral) required. Experience and/or education in human services related field a plus. Days and Hours of Work: Will vary. Primarily 5:00 p.m. - Midnight weekends (Friday-Sunday). Starting out as a fill-in manager, potential moving to permanent position. Other shifts/days possible. This position also involves light maintenance and housekeeping and applicants must be physically able to navigate stairs and lift up to 25 lbs. Compassion for the needs of challenges facing homeless persons is essential.
