Our laboratory focuses primarily on investigating the mechanisms behind cancer treatment related cardiovascular and musculoskeletal side effects and how exercise interventions play a part in battling these negative side effects. We use animal models to analyze the interaction of cancer treatments and exercise on cardiac and skeletal muscle to gain a better understanding of the mechanisms behind cancer treatment toxicities and exercise-induced protection.
