Summer 2014 Workshop

The free Summer Workshop was held at the YMCA in Estes Park, Colorado, June 23-26, 2014.This free problem-solving workshop supported teachers in their development of problem solving skills as well as the incorporation of problem solving into their school’s curriculum. Daytime sessions were led by UNC professors and a special guest presenter, Dr. Paul Zeitz. Sessions focused on problem solving techniques for the math classroom, and during the evenings teachers met for more discussion on implementation ideas and networking. The workshop was free to all accepted participants, including lodging and all meals. The summer workshop was funded through generous grants from State Farm Insurance and BBVA Compass Foundation, and the support of the School of Mathematical Sciences.
