- An alternative
to these directions is the webwork classlist Excel
macro.
- This tutorial will explain the steps involved in adding your class-list
to the courses you are teaching.
- Download
your class list off of ursa.
- Delete
all of the headers and footers.
In other words, all your class list should include is the student
names and information that is already in the file.
Your class list should look something like this classlist2.xls
- The
next step is to separate the names into two individual columns (when
you download the class list from ursa the last name and first name are
combined into the same column, you will need to fix this).
After the columns that contains the names add a new colomn.
Select the column that contains the names, then click
on the data tab and click text-to-columns.
Choose deliminated then comma deliminated.
For pictures click here (cdelpictures).
- Now
you will need to edit the class list to the following standards.
Class list standarrds
- Save
the file as a comma delimitated (.csv) file.
- You
will then need to re-name the file as a .lst file. However, if you are

the UNC School of Mathematical Sciences Webwork page http://mathit.unco.edu/webwork2
- Click
on your course and log in.

you have logged in, click on the file
manager tab.
- Click
"Choose File"(or "browse" in windows) at the bottom right
hand side of the screen.
- Select
the file that represents your class list.
- Click
"upload."
- If you are using windows you will now want to click on the rename
tag and change the file to "classlist.lst".
- Click
on the class-list editor tab.
