A Little About Me

I am currently a teacher at Platte Valley Youth Services in Greeley, CO. I student taught at Chappelow Arts and Literacy K-8 Magnet School and graduated in May 2008 with a K-12 physical education certification. I have always enjoyed participating in sports and physical activities, and now I am enjoying spreading those interests and helping students learn the benefits of being active.
Below is a brief timeline of my awesome life starting with when I was born.
- 1983: Best kid was born in Connecticut!
- 1988-2002: Raised in Texas; Played a lot of sports, dreamed of being a professional in every sport, spent time with my three older brothers, mom and dad, and friends
- 2002: Graduated Cedar Park High School in Cedar Park, TX and said, "GOOD BYE TEXAS, HELLO NORTH DAKOTA"
- Freshman at the University of North Dakota playing division II softball and planning to be a commercial pilot
- 2003: Engaged to my lovely North Dakota math man; started my unknown career of physical education
- 2005: Said "I Do" to my North Dakota math man in Texas and became a Champion. Seriously, Mrs. Champion!
- 2006: Hit my first homerun over the fence (2nd to last game of my softball career) and graduated from the University of North Dakota; Moved to COLORADO!!!
- 2007: Stopped falling on my head while snowboarding.....wooohooooo... and continued my journey of physical education teaching
- 2008: Teaching and asking for more snowboarding opportunities!
