Feral Cats Alien Cats

As part of the collaborative biological mathematics seminar group organized by Dr. Novak, I recently helped create an Ecology Lab based on our investigation of some models for the eradication of feral cats on an island. The Mathematica-based simulator is cutting-edge, and very easy to use.

Calc I in Spring 08 was fun- we did lots of activities and played some with the newly developed visualization features of Mathematica. All the course documents are available, including quizzes and exams.

College Algebra

Probably the most-extensive of the course websites. Bernadette Mendoza-Brady and I produced a wonderful collection of activities, quizzes, and project materials as part of an inquiry-based approach to College Algebra in Fall 2007. I highly recommend the Review Game, although it was one of my first attempts at using Flash.

college algebra activities Abstract Algebra

For a flavor of some of the math I've learned in graduate school, I though I'd share a few of the exams in my abstract algebra sequence. The most accessibles is Group Theory (Final Exam: Fall '07), but Field Theory and Galois Theory exams are available by request (I took down the links to be nice to Anton.).
