The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is a pre-professional organization for students interested in the fields of audiology and speech language sciences as well as those related to the study of communication sciences and disorders. NSSLHA is the official national student association recognized by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Any undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral student enrolled full- or part-time in a communication sciences program or related major is eligible for National Membership.

The local University of Northern Colorado NSSLHA chapter leadership positions are held by undergraduate students.

Student Academy of Audiology (SAA)

The Student Academy of Audiology (SAA)-UNC Chapter aims to promote audiology in the local community.  The SAA-UNC Chapter is a professional student organization of, by and for audiology students, dedicated to advancing the education and training of future audiologists.  SAA-UNC Chapter is an active voice for Au.D. students in the state of Colorado, as well as the regional and national levels.

Students have the choice to be involved at the national and/or local level. The local UNC SAA leadership positions are held by graduate students.
