Loree Crow, M.A.

Director for Honors and Scholars

(970) 351-2948

I have been with the UNC Center for Honors, Scholars and Leadership since January 2008 and at University of Northern Colorado since March of 2006. I have a B.A. in Social Science, with a minor in Business Administration, from California State University Stanislaus and an M.A. in Educational Leadership from University of Northern Colorado. My academic interests include developing innovative honors curriculum and integrating civic engagement into learning. I also love medieval history, and spend a great deal of time outdoors with my family hiking, camping, and horseback riding.

Sarah Wyscaver, Ph.D.

Director for Leadership Studies & Leadership Studies Minor Coordinator

Dr. Wyscaver earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education and Student Affairs with a minor in Applied Statistics and Research Methods from the University of Northern Colorado. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, and her Bachelor’s of Arts in Sociology, both from UNC. She teaches a range of courses within the trans-disciplinary fields of Leadership and Honors. Her pedagogical focus includes community-based learning, responsive and inclusive classroom approaches, and post-colonial teaching methods.

Committed to developing multiple access points for traditionally underrepresented and underserved students to develop as leaders, Dr. Wyscaver has held several leadership positions in higher education focused on student access and support including TRIO Student Support Services programs (Classic and STEM) and Tutoring and Academic Support.

Academic research interests: Global citizenship, post-colonial theories, leadership theory, and social justice within leadership contexts.  In her most recent research, she explored the ways in which college students develop identities as global citizens and integrate their new identity into their lives.

I am the Administrative Assistant here at the Center for Honors, Scholars and Leadership. I truly enjoy working with the faculty, staff and the students at UNC and have worked at HSL since February, 2010. There is never a dull moment in this office. In addition to being the Administrative Assistant for the Honors Program and the President’s Leadership Program, I am also the Administrative Assistant for the Life of the Mind program in HSL. I have a Bachelors of Science in Business Management Administration Science from UNC. In my spare time I love to cook, read, and go on walks with our yellow Labrador. I also especially enjoy spending time with my husband, my teenage son and my family.
