The Second Degree Baccalaureate Nursing Program

The University of Northern Colorado baccalaureate nursing program prepares students for the rewards and challenges of professional nursing practice as well as providing a foundation for graduate study in nursing. The Second Degree Nursing Baccalaureate Program is spercific to students who are seeking a BS in nursing as a second bachelor’s degree.

Students admitted to the second degree Program will be able to complete the nursing courses in 20 months. The program begins each summer and continues until graduation in December of the following year.  School of Nursing applications are available online in the late fall each academic year and are due in January.  All students interested in this programs must meet with the second degree Program advisor.  Contact Laurie Walker at laurie.walker@unco.edu for an advising appointment.
