Most prerequisites courses can be completed either at UNC or via transfer from a community college. The prerequisites describe courses offered in Colorado and Wyoming that meet the prerequisite requirements. Certified Nursing AssistantPrior to applying for admission to the clinical portion of the nursing program applicants must complete the course work to become a Certified Nursing Assistant or CNA. Many agencies and community colleges offer to sit for the CNA exam. Course work must be completed at the time of application and the certification exam must be passed prior to May of the year of admission to the program. Required Nursing CoursesDuring the final two years of study students are involved in clinical nursing experiences.
