Dining Rooms CLOSED until June 3rd

Are you taking summer classes? You can still purchase a meal plan and eat in the dining rooms. Holmes Dining Hall will be open on June 3rd, and the UC Food Court will open around June 24th. Purchase summer meal plans and Dining Dollars here.

Construction This Summer

There's a lot of construction going on this summer at the University Center, so we want to keep you updated on what's happening. Please visit the University Center Construction Update webpage for the most current information.

Planning For Next Year Already?

We typically don't have next year's meal plan prices to share with you until mid-June, but we got permission to share our 2013/2014 "proposed" prices with you NOW! Check them out, but remember there could still be a couple of changes.

  • Traditional Meal Plans (mandatory if you're living on campus)
  • Bear Plans (available to off-campus students and those living in Lawrenson Hall, at the University Apartments, or in the Housing & Residential Education off-campus houses)

UNC Dining Services has a Facebook page, so go please like us! We will be posting information about yummy menu items, upcoming events and special dinners, special hours for Thanksgiving Break, etc. We might even ask for your help... and you could win prizes! Chef Essig had a great time in Italy & France this semester!

Meal Plan Options - Fall 2012 / Spring 2013

Dining Services offers a meal plan to fit any student's needs. Students living on campus choose their meal plan when they sign up for housing... it's so easy! Live off campus? We can recommend a Bear Plan just for you. Dining Dollars are great to have no matter where you live! Leave the shopping, cooking, and cleaning to us...

Off-Campus Bear Plans
Live off-campus or in Lawrenson Hall, or in the University Apartments? You are eligible to carry a Bear Plan. Purchase meals in small packages... add on meals as often as you want!

Bear Plans are available to students living:

  • in Lawrenson Hall (upperclassmen only)
  • at the University Apartments
  • in Housing & Residential Education's off-campus houses
  • off-campus

Purchase Bear Plans with the online meal contract NOW (you must be a registered student to use the online contract).

Dining Dollars
Don't forget to add Dining Dollars to your UNC Card. They're so convenient to have... and you don't get charged tax for your food/beverage purchases.

  • Available to all registered UNC students
  • Purchase additional Dining Dollars with the online meal contract NOW (you must be a registered student to use the online contract).

On-Campus Meal Plans
All students living in a residence hall are required to carry a Traditional Meal Plan throughout the academic year. Freshmen living on-campus can choose from 3 different meal plans... so choose the one that best fits your lifestyle. **The deadline to make changes to your meal plan for Spring 2013 is 5pm on Monday, January 28th.**

We have a creative and passionate staff who love to try new ways to cook and serve you better. You asked us to extend Dinner hours at Tobey-Kendel - and we did!!
