Graduate Summer Spanish Program-Salamanca, Spain

This program is open students in the Spanish graduate program. Students will have the opportunity to earn up to 9 UNC credits (minimum of 6 necessary for financial aid eligibility) transferable towards their degree. Courses will be taken at the Universidad de Salamanca, one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions in Spain.

Salamanca is home to world famous writers and artists, making it the perfect place to explore Spanish life, language, and culture. Excursions throughout Spain and Portugal will be organized by the Universidad de Salamanca and offered through the five-week program.

Curriculum

Students will be enrolled in the following 3 courses (click course for syllabi):

Sintaxis del Español (SPAN 580)

Literatura Española (SPAN 571)

Cultura Española (SPAN 563)

*Each course will meet for a total of 45 hours during the 5-week program

Students who drop after May 31st will be responsible for full payment of the program fee.

Housing

Students have the option of staying in a single room in the unviersity residence or with a host family. Accommodations will be available one day before the start of the program (5:00 pm) and one day after the program end date (until noon). If you arrive before this date and/or stay after this date, you will need to arrange your own accommodations.
