Summer at the ESC Rennes School of Business
Drawn from all over the world, ESC Rennes School of Business permanent faculty has extensive experience teaching and working in a variety of countries and cultural environments. The school is comprised of students and faculty from 42 nationalities. Classes are taught in English allowing the integration of international students who do not have any or little knowledge of French.

Students will pay tuition and fees to UNC. They will pay all other expenses in France. The budget given in US dollars is an estimate and is subject to change.

The above estimated total expenses are used to help plan and prepare for the program, as well as calculate eligibility for financial aid. Not all students will incur all the expenses above. Not that the last line is not considered a necessary expense and is not included in the total for financial aid purposes. All amounts listed are estimates and are subject to change depending on international economic factors, past participant reports, and on-site staff reports. Student expenditures in-country depends greatly on personal spending habits, post- or during-program travel, and available funds.
Rennes is the capital of Brittany. Rennes has more than 200,000 habitants which about 40% are students. The city is classified as a city of art and history. In the old centre, you will find many medieval houses. Rennes is one of the top ten cities in France where French people prefer to live and work. The main industries in and around Rennes are: automobile and automotive industries, agribusiness, tourism, telecommunications, engineering companies, and service industries.

Rennes is a student-centered city with tons of activities for students including student organizations, a vibrant nightlife, and several cultural attractions.
Students will take one course ST 520 Responsible Management. The purpose of this course is to provide students with a conceptual framework for understanding how organizations and managers can optimize the triple bottom line - economic, social, and environmental stainability – through a successful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy.

To be eligible to apply students must have at least a 2.5 GPA and must have completed at least two semesters of courses at UNC by the start of the summer program abroad.
This program is open to business majors with no limit on the number of UNC students who can participate each semester.
Students will live in student dorms on campus and eat inexpensively at campus cafeterias. Rooms come equipped with kitchens and bathrooms.
U.S. students do not have to apply for a visa in advance.
