Middlesex University has four campuses located in north London. Middlesex provides world class academic programs, spacious living environments, and state of the art facilities just thirty minutes by the Underground from central London. Students will earn 7.5 UNC credit hours.

Location


London is one of the world’s largest and most diverse cities. It is the financial center of Europe and a place where one can explore unique culture, history, music, and nightlife. London also serves as a hub for inexpensive travel to the rest of Europe.

Activities


Students can take part in the summer social program. Events are organized each week night, with several local excursions, nights at the theatre, and parties. See the summer package website listed above for more information

Courses


Students can earn 7.5 transfer credits for the five-week program. If students elect to do the three-week program, they will earn only 3.75 transfer credits (to be eligible for summer financial aid, students are required to enroll in 6 credits, which means students will have to enroll in another summer course if they plan to use financial aid).

Students in the following majors will find relevant coursework during the summer: Accounting and Finance, Arts, Business and Marketing, Information Techonology, Education, Film, Languages, Music, Psychology, Social Science, Sports and Excercise Science, and Writing.

Eligibility


This program is open to all students. To be eligible to apply, students must have at least a 2.7 GPA amd must have completed at least two semesters of courses at UNC by the program start date.

Housing


Students will be housed in the residence halls located on the Hendon campus. These are single rooms with en suite bathrooms and kitchen facilities. All residences have access to laundry facilities, free wi-fi, and TV lounges. Students are responsible for preparing their own meals. Students will live in walking distance to classes.


Application


Students must first complete the UNC study abroad application. Applications will be evaluated and selections will be made on a rolling basis. Students meeting the minimum requirements will be selected to participate. Intersted students should complete an admissions application for Middlesex University, as well as the UNC exchange application, which they will get from their Study Abroad Advisor.

Visa


Students will not need to apply for a visa in advance. They will be granted entry to the UK with their U.S. passport for a period of up to 6 months.
