All international students must be on campus the no later than the Wednesday before classes begin. To determine that date, please visit www.unco.edu/regrec and select the "3-Year Academic Calendar."
Orientation for international students will be the Friday for classes begin. This mandatory for all international students. You may also be required to attend an orientation for your department. Please check with them for dates, times, and location.
Airport Pick Up
The Center for International Education (CIE) will meet all arriving planes in Denver and bring the students to UNC in Greeley. Students must request a pick up 1 week in advance. This service will cost $25.00. Please click here to complete the Arrival Survey.

Note: Students arriving after 7:30pm should reserve a hotel near the airport for the night. Accommodations can be found at http://www.flydenver.com/traveler_services/hotels. We will meet you in the hotel lobby in the morning.
Drop-off: UNC Housing, Greeley area hoursing or hotel in Greeley. Housing must be arranged before coming to the USA. Drivers are unable to assist in finding housing.
If you arrive before or after the above dates, you must make arrangements to get to campus as well as a place to stay. We recommend Super Shuttle to get to Greeley. Reservations can be made at www.supershuttle.com. Use the discount code: UNC01.
Please note that it is your responsibility to have a working American credit card or enough American cash to cover the cost of transportation and temporary housing.
Early Arrival Housing
Most international student will arrive before the residence halls officially open. CIE will help make arrangments for you to move in early. Please complete the Arrival Survey and include your housing information.
You must have complete a UNC Housing contract before we can arrange for Early Arrival Housing. The contract will state the official hall open date. We will work with the houing office to be sure you can move in before that date.
There is a $25 nightly charge for on-campus early arrival housing. This will be billed to your student account.
- Either the day of or day after, your arrival you will be required to check-in with the CIE office. We are located on the 2nd floor of the University Center. Please bring with you the following documents: passport, DS-2019/I-20, visa, and your U.S. address.
- All incoming students are required to attend the mandatory orientation that takes place the Friday before classes begin. Details will be provided at Check In
Welcome Week Events
- During the week before the start of classes and the first week of class, the CIE office organizes several events for incoming students. These events include daily shopping trips to larger shopping centersand to cell phone stores. We plan ice cream socials, welcome BBQs, dinners with CIE staff, bowling, department store/mall shopping trips, ice skating, brewery visits, and other fun events.
