Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL)
Greetings Faculty and Colleagues:
SoTL is a collegial forum focusing on faculty interests with regards to strengthening teaching and learning at UNC. SoTL provides faculty and instructors with the opportunity to critically reflect upon and explore teaching and classroom inquiry within their own courses and to investigate current pedagogical approaches and issues relevant to students’ learning and campus culture.

Call for Proposals - Deadline February 26
The University of Northern Colorado’s Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (CETL) invites proposals for five-minute “lightning talks” and poster presentations to be featured at the 2016 Annual Teaching and Learning Fair (TLF). Proposals on any topic related to teaching and learning are welcome from all UNC faculty members, including adjunct faculty and GA/TA’s, with the option of a lightning talk, a poster presentation, or both, as you prefer. Lighting talks provide a fast-paced yet casual environment where colleagues can share valuable pedagogical ideas with one another in a limited space of time. Proposals should be no more than 150 words, accompanied by up to two pages of supporting graphs, diagrams, images, and/or bibliographic materials. Text captions on any supporting materials should not appreciably expand the content of the central 150-word proposal.
The TLF is an open forum for all UNC faculty members (both presenters and attendees), and lunch will be provided to all. Lightning talks will be presented in a casual environment, as lunch is served, and will conclude with a brief question-and-answer roundtable of the presenters. Please send proposals electronically, in pdf or Word format, to email@example.com, by February 26, 2015.
