University of Northern Colorado is committed to investing in the continued professional development of its employees. As part of such commitment in furthering the professional growth of the faculty and staff, the University has made available to all employees a self paced on-line training opportunity through a program called "SkillSoft" at no charge. An internet access is required to take advantage of these on-line training opportunities.

SkillSoft’s Instructional Design Model is based primarily on the concepts of performance-oriented instruction, and mastery of the material through sequencing of instructional activities and strategies. SkillSoft introduces one of the most comprehensive and current courseware collections in the areas of Information Technology, Business, Management, Human Resources, Security, Computer Skills, and more. In addition, Certification Preparation Programs are also available to meet the individual and/or organizational needs of the employees.
