Clickers without the Clunk:
Hassle-free measurable student engagement

When: Wednesday October 12th, 2011

If you teach, then you question. If you question, then you know the challenge of
both eliciting and gauging student responses in class.

Turning Technology at UNC

This 50 minute interactive session, for the questioners and skeptics, will illustrate how faculty can incorporate clickers into their existing instructional activities, with minimum lead work and without requiring students to purchase the equipment.

Learn how to:

  • Pose different kinds of interactive questions
  • Understand how students can respond with clickers
  • Immediately view student responses, track comprehension and gauge learning

At the end of the session you will know how to:

  • Install and locate the relevant software
  • Check out a loaner set of clickers (students need not purchase and you need not commit)
  • Incorporate student polling into what you already do!

When: Wednesday October 12th, 2011
