David Kendrick

David Kendrick, Ed.D., is the Director of the CETL, supporting and promoting the instructional design team and emerging technologies.

He has served as faculty, administrator, and consultant in higher education, K-12, and industry learning environments. His research interest is in cost benefits of traditional to e-learning transformations, the application of web-based instructional systems for higher education, and quality assurance practices. David received his B.A. in English and M.A. in English/Communication Development at Colorado State University and his M.S. in Educational Technology and his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, Educational Research and Higher Education Administration at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

deborah
Deborah Romero, Ph.D. Education, is the Associate Director for Faculty Development at CETL.

Previously, at UNC she served as faculty in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences in the Department of Hispanic Studies, where she taught classes in Second Language Acquisition and ESL teacher preparation. Romero’s research examines bilingualism, biliteracy and identity development in Latinos with regards to multimodal composition and communication practices; she has published journal articles and book chapters in both English and Spanish. She earned her Doctorate in Education from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), with emphases in Cultural Perspectives and Language, Interaction and Social Organization. Her grounding in sociocultural theories of human development, critical pedagogies and a commitment to equity and diversity in education, together with a background in linguistics and digital literacies, are all foundational elements in her own teaching-learning approaches and provide frameworks to actively engage today’s diverse faculty and students.

samSamuel Dong Saul, M.A., is the Instructional Technologist at CETL.

He is a recent graduate from the Educational Technology Master's program at the University of Northern Colorado. He holds a degree in Industrial Design from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education Campus Queretaro, Mexico. He possesses strong skills in graphic design, photography, video, technology and a thorough understanding of Instructional Design strategies and web-based learning techniques. He developed an Instructor's Handbook as an aid for new and experienced teachers on how to effectively teach inside a classroom. Click here to see the project.

Tabby Harraf

Tabby Harraf, M.S. Software Engineering and Microbiology joined CETL after having served as Assistant Professor at Southern Utah University.

She is a faculty member of the UNC Monfort College of Business and specializes in the teaching, assessment, and administration of computer literacy.

Robin WeberRobin Weber, MA, is the Instructional Designer at CETL.

Skilled in educational technology, her strengths include knowledge and application of numerous software programs, information management and training in pedogogical and andragogical techniques, learning management platforms, authoring tools, and instructional design techniques. She has a thorough understanding of Instructional Design strategies, web-based learning techniques, electronic assessment tools, and presentation strategies. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Business Education and a Masters Degree in Career & Technical Education. She worked as an Instructor and Technology Coordinator at Daytona State College, as a CTE Instructor at the University of Central Florida, and a Computer Instructor at Colorado Christian University.

Berniece Mitchell

Berniece Mitchell, Administrative Assistant, supports the department with all things clerical (paper, that is). 

She has lived in Greeley most of her life. She is the voice you will hear when you call the CETL office, and she will do everything she can to make your call pleasant and worthwhile.

Kate Morrison Katherine Morrison, Ph.D. in Mathematics, completed her degree at University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and has recently joined the faculty of the School of Mathematical Sciences.  Her research is in coding theory, i.e. the study of methods for efficiently and accurately transmitting information when errors are likely to occur in that transmission.  Her interest in educational issues began as a graduate student when she became involved in a number of outreach programs providing mathematics content-based professional development for in-service K-12 teachers through the UNL Mathematics Department and the Center for Science, Mathematics, and Computer Education.

Gulden Karakok Gulden Karakok, Ph.D. in Mathematics Education completed her degree at Oregon State University, and is a faculty member of the School of Mathematical Sciences. 

Her research evolves around the issue of transfer of learning of mathematical ideas from one context to another by focusing on learners’ perspectives. She has experience facilitating professional development with K-8 in-service teachers, and leading graduate seminars related to teaching and learning of mathematics and connection between different disciplines for graduate teaching assistants.
